The presentation summary is a source of confusion for some students. I have seen a number of different mistakes made but if you review this area carefully you will avoid making those mistakes and will earn the majority of the available points.

Presentation Summary

3 or More Outside Sources

The first thing that you need to remember is that this part of the paper should be written in the same voice as the rest of the paper. In many circumstances students write this section as a speech. Ths is incorrect.

The syllabus requirement is as follows:

A short summary of how you would present the information if you could give a presentation to a live audience (keep in mind your audience’s age)

Thus, you need to include in this section a description of how you would go about giving a presentation on the subject you have chosen to a group of high school students. You could include the following information:

Key areas you would emphasize

Equipment or set up that you would need

Visuals that you would use

An explanation of how to get students involved

If you include this information and write it from an objective, 3rd person voice you will likely earn most of the available points.
