The introduction for the final paper is an important element. It should provide the reader with an understanding of the paper's purpose, content and organization. By the time a reader has finished reviewing the introduction he/she should know what to expect from reading the entire document.
Each paper will have a unique introduction so there is no way to provide an example that will meet the needs of all students. The guidelines that you should follow in building your introduction are as follows:
1. Provide the reader with an understanding of the overall subject matter
2. Explain the purpose of the document
3. Define the paper's objectives
4. Describe the structure that will be used to meet the aforementioned objectives
